Job description

SUMMARY

Assist with preparation and reporting to management of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. This will include identifying, tracking and analyzing financial trends and abnormalities. Assist with review of budget to actual comparison by department and location. Assist with preparation and coordination during the annual budget process. The position requires knowledge of financial systems, data analysis, customer service and communication/data presentation skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Assist in the development of the annual budget for the organization by department and location.

2) Support the Grants department with ad hoc budgets for specific grants.

3) Compile data for annual reports, quarterly reports, budgets and cash flow reports.

4) Research budget to actual variances on a monthly basis and provide results to the finance team and management.

5) Assist in the monthly meetings in the finance department to present budget to actual variance and noted data trends.

6) Create Quarterly spreadsheets calculating covenant compliance requirements and consolidated financial statements.

7) Assist with information gathering for the annual audit and other required outside reporting.

8) Design, review, analyze and summarize financial reports based on data retrieval or data manipulation. Performs general ad hoc analysis of financial data for trends and variances and presents findings to management.

9) Participates in various ad-hoc projects to track and improve procedures, research transactions, and submits required data to requesting organizations.

10) Track, analyze and report data on various other financial systems.

11) Excellent communication skills are required, as well as an assertive and positive attitude. Establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships.

12) Performs other duties as assigned.

13) Must embrace difference among people and be able to interact with internal staff as well as external contacts in a culturally competent and respectful manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in preparing accounting reports and understanding of workflow process in PO system and accounting cycle (AP/AR/GL)
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Work experience with cloud base or ERP system

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience

Minimum 2 years of accounting experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, vendors, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to communicable diseases, toxic substances ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
