With our combined resources CommonSpirit is committed to building healthy communities advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable and innovating how and where healing can happen both inside our hospitals and out in the community. *Responsibilities* Job Summary / Purpose The Principal Engineer creates or enhances applications that meets the needs of end-users and achieve business goals by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations, then designing and implementing solutions. The Principal Engineer works on several solutions at a time that tend to be of high complexity. They provide technical guidance to software engineering teams and oversee the software engineers' aspects of all projects. The Principal Engineer performs troubleshooting and issue resolution for high complexly software problems. Acts as a subject matter expert for software design and coding. Will have responsibility of mentoring all engineers. ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Creates and owns data product standards, provides technology advisory services * Leads a team of engineers for highly complex and large enterprise wide high visibility initiatives from inception to production * Designs strategy and is accountable for design of large initiatives * Recognized subject matter expert in multiple data products and business functions * Designs solutions for multiple large scale and long-term technology transformation * Designs complex front ends with a focus on user experience * Provides strategic direction for technologies on data products, owns strategy and roadmaps for data products * Serves as an escalation point for other engineers. * Identifies and drives high complexity/cross-functional process improvement * Collaborates with internal stakeholders and drives relationships with external stakeholders across the organization. *Benefits Include:* Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, Holidays, Retirement Program, Disability Plans, Tuition Reimbursement, Adoption Assistance, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Discount Programs, Life Insurance Plans, Worker Compensation, Dress for Your Day , Voluntary Benefits. *Compensation Range:* $51.66 to $67.16 hourly rates, annualized. Position is eligible for incentive pay based on company performance. This is a remote work opportunity. #LI-DH #LI-CH #LI-Remote #missioncritical *Qualifications* Qualifications: • Bachelors required, Masters Preferred • 10+ years of relevant product engineering experience required • 3+ years leading large initiatives • Proven skills in building scalability design • Experience in working in a cloud environment such as AWS, GCP or Azure • Experience developing and implementing API service architecture • Experience in various visualization tools • 2 or more relevant technical/professional certifications preferred
