Job description

YOU MUST BE IN THE PHOENIX, AZ AREA TO BE CONSIDERED. WHEN NOT RUNNING EVENTS AROUND PHOENIX (WEEKLY), YOU MAY WORK FROM HOME.

Wonolo (Work Now Locally) is disrupting the $140BN temporary staffing industry. Founded in 2014, Wonolo's mission is to help people find consistent work. Through our two-sided tech marketplace, we connect hundreds of businesses in need of front-line workers with over 1 million underemployed workers in local markets across the United States, within minutes. Wonolo empowers the in-demand workforce by democratizing access to flexible work, opportunities to learn new skills, a living wage, and comprehensive portable benefits and perks.

Wonolo is looking for a Supply Specialist in Phoenix, who thrives off ownership and autonomy and knows how to make things happen in their markets. In this role, you will be a field marketer, outreach leader, event organizer, and community connector focused on locating large pools of job-seekers and growing the Wonoloer community (what we call the community of workers on our platform).

We're looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving skills who can operate in an ambiguous environment. You will serve as planner and coordinator for community-building and new supply events, recruiter of Brand Ambassadors (known as 'Brand Champions'), and are not afraid to try new ideas to ensure the Wonolo community is continuously growing and engaged.

What you'll do:

* Market Support: host local onboarding and community engagement events, as well as coordinate with your market's Brand Champion team on supply initiatives
* Market Planning: maintain an up-to-date calendar of planned event activities targeting new workers, Wonoloers that have not worked a job yet, and partnership events. Analyze results continuously to enhance market efforts
* Nurture Key Relationships: identify sign-up drive opportunities through direct prospecting, lead follow-up, networking, and supporting local partnerships
* Market Advocate: execute new ideas, improve operational processes, and create new experiments that contribute to Wonolo becoming a household name

Who you are:

* 1-2 years of experience in field marketing, event coordination, recruiting and/or sales
* Experience identifying growth opportunities and self-driven to complete tasks and to proactively solve issues
* Communication skills to engage various communities with many types of personalities and backgrounds, including Brand Champions, individuals not familiar with Wonolo, and the veteran Wonoloer community
* Have access to a reliable vehicle (we'll reimburse for certain work-related mileage)

If you have read up to this point, we hope you are excited about this opportunity to work at Wonolo! Even if your experience does not check every bullet point, we still highly encourage you to apply. The best hires do not always check off every box of a job description.

Nice to haves:

* Marketplace and/or startup experience
* Ability to speak Spanish
* Proficiency with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs, Forms) and Excel
