CL ASSET MGMT SPECIALIST Job Summary Responsible for the prevention and management of risk to the Bank by accurately perfecting and maintaining the Bank's security interest in pledged collateral as well as for ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations for more complex commercial and commercial real estate credits. May assist Team Leader with administrative functions for the team, which may include the training of less-experienced support specialists and providing workflow direction for the team Responsibilities - COLLATERAL PERFECTION FUNCTION: Contact parties outside the department, including borrowers, lenders, Senior Credit Executives, and vendors as required to secure required information. Input missing or incomplete documents into the PC-based deficiency tracking system. - Ensure that all collateral items are correct and complete and that all issues have been addressed. - Prepare documents, letters and memos. Forward executed documents to outside agencies for recording or filing as appropriate. - COLLATERAL MAINTENANCE FUNCTION: Review AFS or other reports, taking action to maintain Bank's position with respect to collateral. - Maintain PC-based Documentation Deficiency system, updating and deleting information, producing and distributing reports. - Review incoming mail for return of documents previously identified as missing or deficient and update the deficiency tracking system. - SPECIAL PROJECTS/DUTIES: Completes special projects assigned by Team Leader which may include releasing of collateral. - Participates in review of departmental procedures and makes recommendations regarding training and improvements in workflow. Provide service to customers (loan administrators, documentation specialists, lenders, borrowers, and others. Employees at this grade level are expected to work independently, with Some supervision, and will primarily be assigned basic to moderate loan transactions. - knowledge/skills required: high School Education required. - understanding of basic commercial loan documentation desired. - use of PC Software In Windows environment required. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
