RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lab Technician in Tempe, AZ. Summary: A fast-growing East Valley technology start-up company is searching for a Lab Technician who is interested in being a part of building futuristic environmentally friendly technology for the benefit of all. An interest in robotics, mechanical and electrical problems, and a willingness to do odd jobs and tasks both large and small is desired. Lab Technician duties will include:
  • Electrical wiring including crimping, wire stripping, and some soldering for a combination of terminal blocks and molex connectors
  • Reading diagrams and translating them into physical reality
  • Take 3D CAD or 2D and turning the machined parts into an assembly
  • Lab Technician handles basic mechanical assembly including using hand tools for nut and bolt turning and precision sensor height adjustment
  • General warehouse management including shipping and tracking packages, as well as maintaining inventory
  • Keeping work area organized and tidy
  • Basic building maintenance (scheduling maintenance and following up with property management) and handle a variety of odd jobs
  • Lab Technician will test-run proprietary robot thru various tests and procedures
  • Evaluate proper robot function
  • Use video to describe the problems
  • Lab Technician writes assembly procedures, troubleshooting documentation, and manual


Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED/equivalent required; Vocational training desired; BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering a plus.
1-3 years' experience in 3 of the following areas:
  • Electronic wiring with proficiency in reading electrical diagrams and translating them into reality
  • Mechanical assemblies including turning nuts and bolts as well as precision sensor adjustments
  • Warehouse management including tracking and shipping packages and maintaining inventory as well as keeping the shop tidy and organized
  • Robotics operations and functionality testing
  • Good Documentation Skills
  • Strong proficiency with both written and spoken English
  • Motivated, willing to learn, organized and responsible
