Job description


Job Purpose:

Responsible for coordinating internal resources to meet customer commitments on development programs. Will serve as primary customer contact for program status reports and delivery schedules. Responsible for providing regular updates to company management team on status and outlook. Responsible for writing/coordinating completion of proposals, technical reports, and program financial reports. Responsible for interfacing with manufacturing and finance departments to track costs against budget and identifying opportunities to improve margin.

Duties:

  • Manage schedule, budget and documentation for multiple programs through entire development lifecycle.
  • Manage, evaluate and track costs associated with multiple programs
  • Create and manage detailed work breakdown tasks and manage changes to tasks
  • Communicate program goals internally and ensure appropriate assignment of resources for completion of tasks
  • Follow the progress of internal and external activities to ensure timelines are met
  • Interface with development team to provide program communication support to customer
  • Lead regular review meetings with development team and customer to evaluate and communicate progress and issues.
  • Responsible for program level information input to product proposals
  • Prepare, coordinate, and deliver customer presentations and design reviews
  • Travel to customers, vendors, and conferences for support of activities related to the development programs

Skills/Qualifications:

Must have a degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or related field with a minimum of five years of industry experience. Must have a proven history of strong leadership skills. Cross-functional team leader experience is a plus. Must be detail oriented with good organization skills. Must use computer methods for technical problem solving and project planning. Must have experience in successfully moving a project/process/product to manufacturing.
