Job description
This candidate will work on-site at the company's headquarters in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Relocations welcome.

APS is a short-stack, midsize business with a start-up development culture. What you won't get is a thick training manual. You cannot add quality and value to a process you do not understand, and we get that.
Things always change, that is to say it is not a guarantee, but currently APS' development team does not work considerable overtime and there is no on-call requirement.

Absolute requirements
Professional experience with one of the following:
- 1. Node.js or asynchronous javascript, including promises.
- 2. Ruby on Rails
Academic or professional exposure to:
- either NoSQL or relational (ANSI) SQL
- either Vuejs or React
Two years' practical experience with designing and developing software as part of a development team

Responsibilities
Creates end-to-end solutions using any to all of:
- MEVN stack. (MongoDB, Express.js, VueJS, Node.js)
- Ruby on Rails
- PostgreSQL
Responsibilities continued:
- Uses git to effectively develop and share in a team-development environment
- Ad hoc reporting
- Writes and performs tests of own code
- Documents own code
- Participates in daily stand-ups with development team
- Initiates contact with product owners to collect requirements, demonstrate and verify success of delivered technical products
- Other duties as assigned
Work Location: Onsite
Shift: 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday with overtime required as needed. May be required to participate in on-call rotation.
Sits for extended period: frequently
Walks: regularly
Lifts up to 20 pounds: occasionally
Desired
- Familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu BASH shell including navigation, cron, scripting and application installation/configuration
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering field
- Experience implementing and consuming from RESTful APIs
- Docker automation
- Mocha or Jest
- Pug or equivalent node templating language/engine
- ANSI-SQL
