Manages and supervises the day to day operations of the Medical Center's Human Resource department. Provides supervision, support, and guidance to HR Staff. Works closely with Hospital Administration keeping informed of appropriate sensitive confidential information.
HR Leader for two hospitals within the NW Arkansas area. Manages all HR activity with a team of 4 HR professionals including payroll. Works with hospital leaders driving accountabilities throughout both facilities, develops employee engagement activities, has experience in compensation analysis, understands fundamentals of employee benefits. Offers coaching and guidance to leaders and employees on employee relations issues.
Experience in a matrix organization, fast paced with a demanding workload is a must.

Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or similar or 8 plus years of progressive HR experience as a generalist to manager role. Healthcare experience is highly beneficial and preferred. Senior HR Certification, preferred.
Demonstrates creativity, intelligence and discretion in planning, organizing and coordinating department functions.Assesses a situation, considers alternatives, and chooses the appropriate course of actions.Completes employee evaluations in a timely manner and assesses staff competencies on an ongoing basis.Demonstrates proficiency at hospital wide and/or department specific computer software and technology.Demonstrates fiscal accountability for department resources and the ability to achieve outcomes within allocated resources.Communicates and supports the hospital's mission, vision, and values as well as departmental goals to all staff.Defines performance objectives and metrics for the department.Demonstrates population appropriate skill sets for all relevant patient populations.Collaborates with other departments to problem solve ongoing issues that impact department/organization goals and/or patient care delivery.Incorporates quality improvement data an/or patient satisfaction data into departmental goals.Ensures accurate and timely reporting of department payroll.Selects, trains/orients, assigns dept. staff, evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions through professional expertise and guidance, is a resource to Hospital management and staff as a consultant, liaison and interpreter or policies, programs, processes and regulatory guidelines/laws for their assigned area (s)Develops department goals and objectives, and establishes and implements policies and procedures for department operation. Leads the development, design, implementation and administration of departmental policies, programs and training initiatives within the Hospital. Compliments staff appropriately and disciplines/counsels staff on a one to one basis. Directs the preparation and maintenance of department reports. Prepares periodic reports for top management, as required.Assists in developing department operating budget and ensures that department operates within budget.Researches, proposes and maintains a successful wage and salary/compensation program within Corporate guidelines while meeting the needs of the hospital, employees and market conditions.Supports Medical Centers policies, mission, vision and values. Attends meetings as required and maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.Audit payroll deductions to verify appropriate deductions are being taken for benefits selected and proper payments are made when an employee receives no pay.Assist in investigation of employee relation issues and preparation of appropriate paperwork when needed to provide a fiar and unbiased perspective of the situation. Meet with employees to discuss/explain questions they may have regarding employment.Present programs to assist in explaining and/or teaching subjects identified as needing additional support.Accurately enters information into HMS as needed and continuously audits information pulled from HMS to verify accuracy and consistency in information. Builds queries for ad hoc reports.
