Overview

The Business Development Representative will work with Allied Reliability Business Development and operations teams to develop new business, prepare and deliver proposals, and negotiate and win accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
  • Prepare client proposals for identified products and service offerings.
  • Prepare and present client presentations.
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Prepare and submit a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  • Maintain up-to-date information on all client interactions within ARG's active Client Resource Manager System (CRM).
  • Support Operations in billable assignments as need.
  • Make cold calls and attend client meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

  • Reports are accurate, neat, and promptly completed.
  • Inquiries are courteously attended to. Good business relations exist with outside professionals and with customers.
  • A professional image is projected and maintained.

Qualifications

  • Sales skills to include demonstrated closing skills. Exposure to formal sales training.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and telephone skills supported by strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team structure.
  • Strong comfort level with presenting to groups.
  • Ability to fully manage a sales cycle from start to finish.
  • Proven record of aching revenue goals.
  • Demonstrated career progression and increase in responsibilities increased during previous positions preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and commercial real estate sector preferred.
  • Sale force knowledge
  • Knowledge of electrical services to include, arc flash risk assessments, switchgear and substation maintenance and infrared inspections.
  • 3+ years electrical testing industry experience
  • 7-10 years national sales territory experience.
  • Experience in solution and service selling.
  • Experience interfacing up to C level decision makers.
  • Previous sales experience in electrical services
  • Previous experience in a sales management or sales coaching role preferred
