We are looking for a Principal Flight Test Engineer (Level 3) in the Flight Test IPT for the Global Hawk Program. The position will be based at Edwards AFB, CA. and requires continuing interaction with responsible engineers at Palmdale and Rancho Bernardo.

Plan, direct and report on ground and flight test activity. Assist in the development and maintenance of test plans, test schedules/procedures for development, pre-production, and flight testing. Interface with internal and external organizations to develop test and test data requirements. Specify air vehicle system configurations and coordinate test planning activity with flight test operations, instrumentation, and Responsible Engineers. Identify and coordinate the availability of test resources and with senior Flight Test Engineers. Participate in test planning working groups; assist with the planning and conducting of flight test readiness reviews, including pre and posttest briefings. Participate in post-test data evaluation and discrepancy resolution. Prepare and publish test summaries, test cards and test reports. Compile flight/ground test data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Qualify as a Test Conductor leading a test team.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have a BS degree in a STEM field
Needs 5 to 8 years of flight test engineering experience.
Requires an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Excellent communication skills required, must work well in a team environment, and must work independently to solve a variety of complex problems.
Candidate must be willing to work extended hours during test preparation and execution.
Limited short-term travel may be required.

Salary Range: 92000 - 138000

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
