Quality Laboratory Technician at a Food Manufacture of Sweets

• Location: Union City, California

• Swing Shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm $22.20/Hour

• Graveyard Shift: 10pm-6:30am $22.70/Hour

• Full-Time / Temp-Hire/ 6-Month contract

• Monday-Friday

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Quality Technician you'll be working a part of the Sweets division . This position makes quick decisions and uses good judgment. You'll be making adjustments, involved with corrective actions, and disposition of goods. You'll be exposed to smell and a variety of flavor products, essential oils and raw materials.

Shifts available are:

• Swing Shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm

• Graveyard Shift: 10pm-6:30am

• Overtime, weekends, and Occasional holiday support if needed

What you'll do:

The Quality Technician position conducts product testing, customer orders, and monitoring production quality.

• You'll be performing tests, analysis, and/or verification steps to check that raw materials, batched product, and finished product exceeds established quality standards.

• You'll have an opportunity to develop skills in monitoring quality systems and customer related duties.

• You'll dispose of products; this includes approval of products, packaging material, labels, as well as the hold and release of inventory.

• The Quality technician is dedicated to the production of high quality, safe food in a manner that meets our customers expectations.

• The Quality technician plays a role in ensuring all products meet Food Safety and Food Quality requirements.

• Follow procedures, policies, and instructions, Audits, and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions is essential for this role.

What you'll need to be successful in the role:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years QA Experience

or combination with relevant experience.

• Desired, College Diploma or University Degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or relevant science.

• Experience in food, pharmaceutical industry, or manufacturing environment is preferred
