Robert Half has an employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk to support an Accounting department. The Accounting Clerk position will require matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity based in the Anaheim Hills, California area.

Your responsibilities

- General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

- Resolve discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

- Transmit financial information to journals and ledgers

- Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

- Classify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

- Assist Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt

- Assist Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing Requirements - Journal entries experience preferred

- Bank reconciliations experience

- QuickBooks experience required

- Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel

- Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

- Ability to multitask effectively

- Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
