This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that has the experience as a Environmental/Emergency Response Manager. The position is in the Kern County area. First of, here is what the company offers:Short-term Incentive (annual cash) Bonus: 25% of base. They want to take care of their employees. So, the job is looking for someone that can do the following:Manages the overall environmental and emergency response compliance support functions. This position ensures that the company conducts business in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in all applicable areas. Advises HSE Director on all applicable environmental and emergency response compliance requirements and future strategies. Leads a dynamic group of professionals providing expertise in several critical disciplines, including air compliance, waste management, water discharge management, greenhouse gas reporting and verification, biological species and habitat protection, project permitting, and project management.This is what they would like to see the following on the resume:Experience15+ years of environmental regulatory experience in the oil and gas industry.Minimum 5 years as a supervisor and/or 2 years progressive management experience.Broad regional experience in a variety of oil and gas-producing basins.Critical:Experience in assessing project risks, and where appropriate, recommending contingency plans and strategies to mitigate regulatory risksCommunication skills, both verbally and in writing.Ability to work well under pressure and within established timelines.Interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Ability to negotiate between multiple stakeholders toward a collaborative answer to complex problems.Ability to provide solutions to complex issuesAdvanced knowledge of federal, state, and local regulationsRequired:Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Ability to establish working relationships at both the field and management level, as well as governing bodies.Proven ability to effectively direct a staff of professionals.Proven ability to work within collaborative, dynamic, and fast-paced team environment.Ability to apply a broad, in-depth knowledge of oil and gas regulations.Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures related to oil and gas operations.Demonstrated problem-solving skills and knowledge of complex issues.Desired:Advanced knowledge of applicable legislation, including the most complex and arcane aspects in developing policies, procedures and/or standards that impact company-wide adherence to legislation involving multiple stakeholders.Ability to provide administrative direction to employees, establish the overall objectives and available resources, and broadly define the missions and functions of employees.Primarily office work environment.Routine work involves common office activities during a typical 9-hour day, such as standing, sitting, walking, typing, and twisting as necessary.May be required to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.Must follow all company safety policies, including when visiting field locations.This is a direct hire role and they are looking to do interviews soonest!
