Job description
Position Summary
Provides human resources consultation and support to a designated (client group/s). Uses working knowledge of the business to provide HR workforce planning support and guidance to line managers. Analyzes trends and develops workforce plans to resolve issues and make a positive impact on business results. Utilizes knowledge of various human resources functions to provide tactical support to line managers. Serves as liaison with other HR/Payroll functions. Assists in administering human resources policies and procedures.
Does not have direct reports.

Strategic Consultant
Provides HR strategic consultation to one's assigned client group/s:
* Translates the HR strategy through communication, training and support across all areas of HR with a focus on delivering value-added HR services and programs support
* Nurtures an inspirational culture and positive work environment through developing high trust relationships, and seeks to ensure that each HR transaction is supporting a mutually beneficial employee/employer relationship
* Champions change by demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset and work style, and provides support to employees in times of change
* Partners with leadership to effectively manage cultural and organizational change; ensures change is linked to the strategic needs of the organization minimizing employee dissatisfaction and resistance to change; and models continuous improvement and change
* Administers, monitors, and analyzes the employer-employee relationship; manages performance; ensures that relations with employees comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations; resolves workplace disputes; fosters a work environment in which people will choose to be motivated, contributing, and happy; and ensures the employer-employee relationship is one of reciprocal value.

Pre-Boarding & Onboarding
* New hire hiring into ADP, coordinates new hire experience in the preboading/onboarding portal, facilitating completion and collection of new hire paperwork
* Initiates the background clearance process and monitors progress until clearance or other final disposition
* Sends New Hire Notifications, distributes BIOs and pictures, and otherwise provides support to hiring managers to ensure they carry out prestart activities
* Processes New Hire prestart paperwork and mails pre-start gift
* Processes new hires eVerify

HR Data Custodian
* Maintains I-9 documentation for assigned client groups and purges according to legal standards
* Maintains Personnel Files electronically for assigned client groups ensuring:
* Proper filing techniques are followed and that files are kept accurate and orderly
* All required documents are included in terminated files
* HRIS Data Maintenance
* Assists employees with personal information changes via HRIS employee self service
* Processes data changes in accordance with established process, policy and audit guidelines (new hire, position changes, location changes, pay changes, status changes, termination, etc.)
* Prepares and delivers internal offer memos regarding employee changes
* Maintains current compliance-driven data such as First Aid/CPR, TB and Chest X-Ray Results.

Employee Engagement
Serves as chair of employee Engagement and Activities Committee for assigned region:
* Schedules and facilitates committee meetings
* Provides input into program newsletter and All Staff meetings
* Facilitates MVP EOM programs for assigned region to include promoting the programs, leading committee vetting of nominations, processing/presenting awards

HR Compliance & Audit Readiness
* Stays abreast of federal, state, local, industry, regulatory agency and other laws relevant to our business
* Maintain up to date, accurate knowledge and understanding of HR operations roles and responsibilities, processes and procedures and audit guidelines and performs work accordingly
* Conducts regular self-audits (monthly) for all auditable areas of responsibility, participates in mini-audits and annual formal internal HR audit to ensure compliance as demonstrated by positive outcomes of the internal HR audit, and external audits

Requirements
Education & Experience, Knowledge/Understanding
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or one to three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Minimum of four years HR generalist experience with one year serving as strategic partner
* Strong working knowledge of federal employment laws and state laws in the state/s in one's designated region
* Previous experience, knowledge and understanding in business partnering (consulting, contracting, negotiating)
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Clear fingerprint background screening through the Department of Justice, FBI and Child Abuse Central Index prior to start

* In the course of performing the essential duties one must be able to exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
