Must-haves

Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a closely related field

2+ years of experience developing and executing communications strategies

Experience creating info graphics, using tools like Canva or others

Experience updating information on intranet, ideally using SharePoint but any other website design is sufficient as well.

Excellent attention to detail and written and verbal communications skills

Experience with online email software (i.e Constant Contact or Poppulo)

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Plusses

Video production and graphic design experience

Working experience with SharePoint

An employer is looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to work for a large insurance company located in Brea, CA. This individual will be responsible for the design and execution of communications strategies that inform and engage employees, including partnering with business leaders to most effectively communicate company news or new initiatives. They will be providing advice on best practices, organizing company events, creating communications for emails, newsletters, presentations, and calendars. The ideal candidate will have a passion for internal communication, graphic design, and an eagerness to apply their own creativity. This position will be a 6 month contract with the possibility of permanent conversion.
