Where You Will Work
Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is the primary division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace. We are a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, and engineered products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. CAM is currently comprised of nine subsidiaries across the United States split among three segments.

Position Scope:

MRB (Material Review Board) Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and managing the control of nonconforming product

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Validate, segregate and document product with suspected discrepant conditions, including containment actions.
  • Present discrepant material reports to engineering group.
  • Assist with nonconformance investigation.
  • Facilitate and follow up on evaluation and disposition of discrepant conditions.
  • If the disposition of discrepant product is scrap, then MRB coordinator is responsible for the control and disposal of scrap product, including the documentation of scrap in the ERP system.
  • Review return requests, issue RMAs and maintain the RMA (Return Material Authorization) log.
  • Complete containment actions for returned part number, including identification of WIP/inventory and disposition of identified product.
  • Facilitate process to rework or scrap returned product.
  • Conduct root cause and corrective action analysis and implementation.
  • Assist in the quality department as needed.
  • Must be able to work with and communicate with quality, engineering, manufacturing, planning, purchasing, shipping and sales departments.
  • Maintain records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with GD&T and inspection methods (use of gages such as calipers, micrometers, indicators and optical comparator).
  • Basic computer skills required including email communication, data entry and Microsoft Excel.
