Who You Are:
The Accounts Payable (AP) Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day AP operations of multiple business entities, including managing the workload of various team members to ensure that the vendors are paid on time and vendor inquiries are responded to and resolved in a timely manner. This position will help us improve our Accounts Payable practices and ensure disbursements are in accordance with Company Policy and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Accounts Payable Team and all functions of Accounts Payable
- Review and approve vendor invoices to ensure the accuracy of AP data
- Maintain positive internal and external customer relations and address escalated vendor issues in a timely and professional manner
- Manage sales and use tax and VAT
- Proactively safeguard against duplicate payments and fraud
- Oversee and approve payment runs for domestic and international entities
- Manage Coupa invoice automation
- AP close, month-end recons, JEs, and fluxes review
- Responsible for training personnel on multiple systems for submitting and approving expenses
- Contribute to the development of current accounting systems, programs, and procedures
- Improving department processes to increase accuracy and efficiency
- Handle SOX audit and walkthrough
- Ad hoc projects

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in a high-volume environment with Biotech experience
- Experience with multiple domestic and international business entities and currencies
- High-level proficiency with accounting software, MS Excel, and other MS business software
- Self-motivated, proactive, critical thinker with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
- Ability to solve technical and non-technical accounting problems related to AP
- Ability to manage, coach, mentor, train, and evaluate work results.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication
- Must be comfortable working with incomplete information and dealing with ambiguity
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
- SAP experience is a must
