Job description
AbelCine is a full-service equipment and technology provider to the broadcast, production and new media industries. We offer sales, finance, training, rental and tech services to our professional customer base with offices in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. We are currently seeking an HR Administrator to join our Los Angeles team. This role key functions will support daily people operations, processes and procedures and ensure consistent and successful ongoing development relating to the employee experience. Success in this role is defined by the ability to juggle multiple tasks with competing deadlines with high efficiency and accuracy. This key position encompasses the following responsibilities:
Recruiting
- Own and lead full-cycle recruiting functions for Los Angeles and NY locations
- Post open positions (website, other online sources) as directed
- Coordinate the interview process: schedule interviews, provide a great candidate experience and ensure candidates have all application information and directions prior to interview
- Keep the hiring process organized and actively maintain clear lines of professional communication with hiring managers and candidates
- Prepare onboarding documents for all new hires to convert them from candidates to employees
- Deliver a superior new hire experience by maintaining quality and high-level service throughout the on-boarding and off-boarding processes
- Oversee our internship program including school outreach
Employee Relations
- Oversee and update attendance records
- Keep track of employee milestones such as benefits eligibility
- Support managers and staff with routine, day-to-day HR questions, needs, and inquiries
- Provide HR guidance while minimizing engagement impacts
- Participate actively in supporting our culture and company mission
- General assistance and administrative duties as required to support the LA team
Training
- Initiate, assign and track employee training
- Provide ATS and interview skill training to hiring managers and teams as needed
- Provide HRIS training to new hires

Successful applicants should possess the following attributes:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 1+ years proven success in a Recruiting or HR support role
- Understanding HR functions and best practices, including employment law and regulations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality at all times
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively connect with team members, managers, and candidates
- High level of accountability, professionalism, solid work ethic, and emotional intelligence
- Ability to perform in events of changing priorities and ambiguity
- Working knowledge of the MS Office Suite and comfortable working with computers with minimal IT support
- Prior experience with Bamboo HR and Jazz HR platforms is a plus
This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
