SENIOR SCIENTIST

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our medicinal chemistry research group as a Senior Scientist. The selected candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary team developing class nucleic acid therapeutics. The successful candidate will be an innovative thinker with the ability to work independently. The position will involve research, optimization and troubleshooting of methods to characterize nucleic acid therapeutics in cells and animals. We are seeking a candidate who comes with a strong track record of designing and implementing novel in vitro and in vivo assays.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Ph.D. in analytical chemistry or biochemistry, or a closely related discipline
* 0-5 years of postdoctoral or professional experience in an academic or industry research setting, with a proven track record of accomplishments, including publications in top tier scientific journals
* Experience in modern analytical and bioanalytical laboratory techniques, e.g. mass spectrometry, or ELISA assay development
* Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively in a quickly evolving environment
* Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in teams
* Self-starter who is highly motivated and not afraid to take risks
* Experience with designing and performing animal experiments is a plus
