Job description

The Quality technicians is responsible for ensuring company and customer quality standards are being met; examine products and materials. Responsible for conducting tests, perform inspection checks, calibrate equipment, and communicate test results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for Aseptically sample, test, adjust/rework and approve water, raw materials, packaging components, bulk, 3-day bulk and finished good products
* Responsible for completion of quality reports such as raw materials, packaging components, bulk and finished good certificate of analysis reports, discrepancy reports etc.
* Responsible for maintaining product standards and records
* Responsible for audit, reviewing and correcting batch cards for accuracy and completion
* Responsible for filing of batch cards and other quality records
* Responsible for maintaining quality logs and records
* Responsible for creating work instructions, SOPs and other documentation
* Responsible for training employees on quality instructions
* Responsible for timely handling and processing of customer complaints; review trends
* Responsible for performing root cause analysis
* Responsible for performing quality audits
* Responsible for cross training
* Responsible for following established safety rules and regulations
* Responsible for fully understanding goals to be accomplished
* Responsible for housekeeping of production lines, safe and clean workspace
* Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

* College degree required (Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field)
* 1 year previous experience laboratory experience desired, however, will train if candidate has educational background
* Must be team oriented and self-directed
* Must be familiar with equipment in laboratory setting
* Must be able to effectively communicate in English; verbal and written form
* Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
* Must possess oral and written communication skills
* Must be committed to quality, safety and communication
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment
* Must be able to adhere to all GMP's (Goods Manufacturing Practices)
* Must be able to work overtime and some weekends
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
* Bilingual English / Spanish highly desired
