Collins Aerospace is looking for an Operations Business Analyst to help the business identify strategic projects that meet the company's goals and objectives. You will be involved with modeling and analyzing manufacturing sourcing decisions, operations restructuring opportunities, potential acquisitions and divestitures and external strategic partnerships. You will have direct contact and communication with leadership and be given the opportunity to present directly to senior leadership your findings and recommendations.
The position is currently working remote, will be transitioned to a hybrid role with some onsite requirements when circumstances permit in 2022.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform business case modeling for part transitions (make to buy, buy to make, make to make) capturing the cost of the transition and the future cost savings if applicable
- Support annual Strategic Plan initiatives with discounted cash flow modeling to identify projects with best financial results to the business
- Support transition managers by assisting with business case evaluations and ensuring all business cases follow standard process for analysis
- Communicate financial modeling results and recommendations to senior leadership
- Lead effort to setup and establish standard data collection tools in Excel to capture key facility and operations information
- Perform internet-based research and data gathering to support key initiatives
- Track and report monthly departmental budget/spending
- Help gather and coordinate data related to strategic projects
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR
- In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- MS Office knowledge
- Understanding of key business financial terms and tools including - NPV, IRR, Cost of Capital, Cash Flow, Profit & Loss
- Understanding of supply-chain and manufacturing concepts
- Knowledge of ERP system
- Able to communicate and present results to senior level leadership
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Able to travel up to 10% domestically / internationally when circumstances permit
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial modeling experience
- MS Excel-Pivot Tables and MS PowerPoint-creating presentations
- Manufacturing environment experience
- SAP experience
