Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist primary purpose is to consistently fill the advisors' schedule with qualified appointments using proven marketing strategies such as coordinating local speaking engagements, community networking, appointment setting and community branding.
We're looking for a go-getter that is great at asking in-depth questions and getting our prospects engaged! This individual will use the relationships they currently have within the community to build awareness and brand recognition. A sharp, professional presence with excellent communication skills and the ability to build a rapport with our prospects and clients is a must.
Minimum Requirements:
· The desire to work long-term in the financial industry
· 5+ years of experience in a Marketing/Public Relations role
· In-depth knowledge of community awareness
· Experience with MS Office and the ability to learn new software quickly
· Proven ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks on schedule
· Very strong networking skills and heavy involved in community events
· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
· Working knowledge of Social Media and Design Software
· The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, self-starter with strong organizational skills.
This team player must be flexible, enthusiastic and possess an energetic personality. The ability to balance a process-driven approach while generating innovative ideas is imperative.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
· Ensure the advisor's calendar meets or exceeds the minimum amount of appointments on a
day-to-day basis
· Set appointments and fill revenue days with appointments
· Manage weekly email campaign to clients & prospects
· Attend community events to create company image and brand awareness
· Follow-up and track client referrals
· Work with parent company marketing department to keep company branding current
· Discuss and review upcoming marketing strategies and success
· Create monthly accountability report illustrating number of strategies implemented, contacts
made, appointments set, and appointment kept
· Manage and follow-through on new marketing ideas
· Other duties as assigned
