POSITION SUMMARY:

In this Recruiter role, you will be responsible for the full cycle recruiting for hourly production for the Corona, California Plant. You will collaborate with hiring managers and HR partners to fully understand talent needs, post, source (Direct and through 3rd parties), phone screen, interview, select and onboard new hires. The ideal individual will have a high sense of urgency, handle multiple competing priorities and the ability to develop authentic relationships. Lastly, you will be passionate about identifying the right talent that aligns with our company culture to help drive transformation in our respective business.

This is a Hybrid position and will report to the TA Manager at BrassCraft Manufacturing Company.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand roles to be filled and profiles of ideal candidates.

  • Talent staffing and planning (e.g., forecasting future hiring needs, aligning hiring strategy to longer term workforce plans, analyzing market trends that impact labor supply & demand, etc.)

  • Reviews and assesses applicants education, experience, training, and other qualifications. Verifies employment eligibility, gathers vital paperwork, and performs reference and background checks. Schedules interviews and coordinates interviewers or panels

  • Talent prospecting (representing the organization at employment fairs, participating in campus recruiting activities, building sourcing pipelines/networks for targeted talent pools)

  • Act as the liaison to our agency partner to align on openings and skills needed for the job.

  • Handle the requisition process from approval to on-boarding, driving and guiding, hiring teams through the selection process.

  • Working with agency partners to achieve the level of contingent workforce to direct employees

  • Through proactive direct sourcing, advertising, networking, and referrals, build a network of selected and targeted prospective candidates.

  • Use online recruiting sources, social media, and an in-house applicant tracking system to identify and recruit talent.

  • Engage in passive and active candidate sourcing

  • Review resumes for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements. Pre-screen candidates and present synopsis and recommendations to hiring managers.

  • Handle applicant tracking system ensuring system is regularly updated including applicant status throughout the process

  • Ensuring agency partners are inputting all contingent candidates in Workday

  • Identify new channels and talent pools within the company and the community

  • Be a part of all diversity recruiting initiatives across the company

  • Creatively come up with ways to increase efficiency, contain cost, and make improvements on a continual basis.

  • Guide the hiring leaders throughout the interview and selection process to ensure a smooth recruiting engagement leading to an effective hire.

  • Support other assigned duties

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field

  • Minimum 7 years of demonstrated ability in recruiting for hourly and skilled trade in a manufacturing environment

  • High volume/High Quality industrial recruiting experience

  • Proficient in MS Office experience

  • Experience with posting and reporting union bid fills

  • Reporting out weekly Recruitment metrics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Manufacturing experience

  • Job bid experience in a unionized environment

  • Experience with Workday is a huge plus.
