Associate Digital Marketing Manager
The Associate Digital Marketing Manager will support the management of direct response digital marketing campaigns to engage consumers and drive direct response to support our business lead and sales goals. The ideal candidate will understand direct response marketing and digital marketing, and how online can support cross-channel marketing and enhance advertising campaigns, drive website traffic, and generate leads and sales. This candidate will support the Auto Insurance digital strategy, ensuring alignment with individual business line strategies and other Enterprise level solutions, while moving toward efficient online transactional capabilities, digital marketing opportunities, and delivery channel integration.
Accountable for business metrics associated with the Internet channel and digital marketing including CTA, lead generation, online leads, sales, revenue, and member satisfaction. Working with the Digital Marketing Innovation Manager, Product Managers, internal departments, outside ad agencies, and vendors, the Innovation Analyst will strategize, develop, implement, and analyze marketing plans, overseeing day-to-day aspects of digital marketing campaigns and results. Recommends new testing opportunities and provides direction to agencies. Participates in cross-functional project teams to drive projects. Supports management of content updates to landing pages. Interfaces with senior management and other key managers as needed to champion new ideas and report on program progress and results. Supports and contributes to the Digital Marketing team's projects, goals, and initiatives.
Responsibilities / Job Duties:
- Develop strategy, implement, and refine digital marketing programs, continually optimizing programs for cost-efficiency and scale.
- Evaluate and recommend new or refined programs to increase the profitability of the online channel.
- Assist in achieving established short and long-term corporate goals.
- Oversee campaign development and analysis of results for optimization opportunities.
- Research, implement and manage effective digital marketing campaigns.
- Work closely with internal departments- such as marketing, product management, research, database, and outside advertising agencies and vendors to execute programs.
- Recommends marketing programs and provides direction to agencies.
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding the lead and sales goals for digital marketing programs by efficiently scaling digital marketing strategies and programs.
- Assist in the marketing of new products and improvements to online content and functionality.
- Leverage web statistics and analytics to optimize campaign performance.
- Performs regular competitive analyses, reports relevant findings, and recommends digital marketing innovations to be tested.
- Investigates emerging interactive media and provides recommendations for potential projects.
- Identifies opportunities for new, innovative programs and interfaces with executive management and other key managers as needed to champion new ideas.
- Ensure that all marketing programs on the web are consistent with, and support enterprise goals and business plans.
- Gather best practices from clubs and the National office for digital initiatives.
Education
- Bachelor's degree is required. Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field is preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of strong knowledge and experience in digital marketing is required.
- Experience evaluating metrics reports is required.
- Direct experience managing SEM, display and programmatic advertising, and social media is required.
- Proven project management experience essential.
- Strong knowledge of best practices in display advertising and search engine marketing is required. Experience with rich media ad serving vendors and technologies are required.
- Budget management experience is preferred.
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Experience with and understanding of tracking tags used for online media banners and paid search (ex., DoubleClick, Adobe / Google Analytics, Floodlight, optimization & retargeting pixels, etc.).
- Must be a self-starter and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment.
- Experience analyzing results of projects and making recommendations for next steps.
- Time management and prioritization skills are key as this position will have multiple projects and campaigns at one time.
- Experience supervising outside vendors and agencies is important.
