Sr Business Analyst Consumer Data Operations

The SPE (Sony Pictures Entertainment) Internet Services Group (ISG) is a centralized organization that supports multiple Sony Pictures Entertainment business units in their marketing and technology efforts.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Product Owner for Consumer Data Operations will be responsible for understanding and owning the tools and processes around workflow for email marketing and 1st party user data across multiple Sony Pictures Entertainment applications. This role focuses on supporting the various digital marketing teams in compliant capture and activation of consumer data.

This will involve understanding the architecture and process for consumer data capture and management for CRM, analysis, compliance and standardization.

Key Functions

  • Create and implement the configuration and set-up of new data acquisition sources
  • Provide a framework for ongoing operational improvements based on business and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with data scientists and architects on consumer data strategy
  • Coordinating with teams across Sony Pictures Entertainment to insure the compliant capture of email marketing and 1st party data in line with GDPR, CCPA and other nascent data governance regulations.
  • Oversite on regular reporting and health checks on SPE Consumer Data
  • Performing regular analysis and reporting on email marketing data
  • Working with marketing teams on data capture and activation around email marketing, social and registration login-in
  • Partner with Engineering teams to resolve issues with production applications and work with users on training and adoption
  • Create and maintain reports/dashboards and collaborate with data engineers, reporting analysts and business stakeholders to ensure quality of data flowing in and out of Salesforce Marketing Cloud CRM including to downstream systems such as marketing automation, data lake, etc.
  • Work with key stakeholders, engineering and other data solutions teams within SPE to develop and deliver on the consumer data workflow roadmap
  • Stay informed with vendor roadmaps, industry trends and emerging technologies to synthesize, articulate and propose strategies to capitalize on opportunities, enable growth and mature company processes and capabilities.


Qualifications
  • 5+ years as a technical project manager or business analyst with proven ability to document workflows and processes
  • Experience with master data management, data integration, data governance, data analysis, or data quality to support cross-functional business teams.
  • 2- 5 years experience with an enterprise ESP/CRM platform, capabilities, reporting and configuration; Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience is a big plus
  • Proven understanding of the Sales and Marketing technology ecosystem and how it is evolving
  • 1 - 3 years experience working with Customer Identify management and tools; SAP Consumer Data Cloud (aka Gigya) a plus
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI or other data visualization tools a plus
  • Understanding and ability to create advanced query-based data
  • Thorough understanding of data operations and security guidelines and measures required when dealing with 1st party consumer data
  • Ability to provide oversight and thought leadership on CRM implementations, including but not limited to: requirement gathering, analysis, design, configuration, integrations, system testing and production support
  • Able to translate technical CRM capabilities to a non-technical audience
  • Articulate issues clearly and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior management
  • Listen well and be receptive to others' ideas and suggestions, encouraging open and collaborative dialogue among team members
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across the organization at all levels
