Looking to hire a Part-time Seasonal Shipping Clerk for our Dinuba, CA packing house/cold storage facility. Candidate should be able to fulfill certain duties and responsibilities. Shipping Clerks are to perform efficiently by handling incoming and outgoing deliveries. Start time would be between 7am and 8am. Monday to Saturday.

The following are some duties and responsibilities, but not all inclusive.

  • Process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them in the inventory system.
  • Fulfill customer orders and maintain product inventory levels
  • Work closely with other Shipping Clerks to review orders, retrieve products, and place labels on outgoing product
  • Keep detailed records of incoming and outgoing shipments for management to review
  • Maintain the work area organized, clean and presentable.
  • Prepare for large shipments
  • Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
  • Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
  • Communicate with other departments on goods to be produces to fulfil orders.
  • Communicate with Tally team when there are tagging questions or issues.
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor or management.

POSITION REQUIREMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Preferably 3+ year of experience in food manufacturing environment or packing house.
  • Position requires standing, sitting, and walking on a regular basis for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to work any day and/or shift including weekends and holidays.
  • Team player, able to lead and ability to get along in a group environment
  • Strong communication skills and follows directions.
  • Near vison-ability to see details at close range.
  • Ability to continuously use trunk strength-abdominal and lower back to support repeated bodily movement.
  • Ability to push/pull/lift 25+ lbs.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
  • Reliable attendance is an essential function on the job.
  • Must have 2+ years of Shipping Clerk experience
  • Must have knowledge using an ERP System (SAP, Famous, ect.)
  • Must be able to work in hot and cold environments as needed.
