Job description

The City of Dos Palos invites applications for the position of City Manager. A full-service city of 5,575 providing services to 8,000 people, Dos Palos is a friendly community known for supporting its youth. The local economy is based in Agriculture but changing with many new commuter residents. The current city manager is retiring after 32 yrs of service. The city is in good financial standing, almost all debt paid off, a staff of 35 talented employees, $11 million grant funded new water plant about to begin construction, $1 million new water tank under construction, nearly $6 million available for street improvements in near future. The ideal candidate for this position will be prepared to complete projects underway, and develop new goals for a growing city. The incumbent must bring a proven record of achievement, have the ability to lead a diverse community, anticipate problems, provide solutions, and communicate with an active city council. Appropriate education and supervisory experience req'd. The salary range is $98,317 to $124,404 annually.
