Controller

Position

Reporting to and partnering with the President, the Controller will play a critical role in developing and implementing the financial strategy for this diverse manufacturer that has been in business for over 50 years.

Specific responsibilities include:

Strategy

  • As true business partner to the President and divisional managers, assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and long-term strategy. Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the President and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
  • Oversee long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with the Company's strategic plan
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities and production processes.

Financial and Operational Management

  • Develop & oversee financial reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Maintain internal control safeguards
  • Work-In-Progress Reporting
  • Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions
  • Management of the banking, Insurance and CPA relationships
  • Assist with vendor contracting and procurement process
  • Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets so as to monitor progress and present financial metrics both internally and externally
  • Timely and accurate analysis of financial trends; budgeted vs. actual
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $180,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
