Northrop Grumman Aeronautics has an opening for a Director General Manufacturing 1, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in El Segundo, California.

This position reports to the Director of El Segundo Production and Site Manager. This position leads the efforts for F/A-18 assembly, paint, delivery and the Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC). This candidate will be responsible for direct program cost performance, indirect budgets, capital requirements, on-time product delivery, and product quality performance. This position will manage and integrate product assembly and delivery into an effective high performance team in close coordination with program leadership, functional support management and shared services. This position also insures that the operations and facilities have the capabilities and resources required to meet current and future needs. This position requires and is responsible for on-time delivery of high quality products that meets all contractual requirements and business objectives. Responsible to maintain a clean and safe environment utilizing and improving established factory accountability processes. This position provides leadership that fosters innovation, motivation and communication.

The F/A-18 Assembly Operations Leader will be responsible for ensuring all performance expectations (Cost, Schedule, Quality, Safety, Factory Accountability [FO]) meet functional and program requirements. This position will oversee the execution of three level 3 Section Leaders and many Level 1, & 2 front line managers with an organization consisting of approximately 200 technicians. This position is responsible for direct cost performance (touch labor) with an annualized dollar value of ~$84M. This position also requires the projection of accurate EAC and EVMS data. This manager will be responsible for the indirect budget (training, OIE) for the employees in a direct report capacity.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with minimum 10+ years' experience in an manufacturing operations environment OR a Master's degree and 8+ years' experience OR 18+ years' experience in lieu of a degree
Prior leadership experience, either in manager or lead function
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software; specifically the ability to create and edit deliverables in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

An active DoD Secret Security clearance
Prior experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
Expert level proficiency with oral and written communication skills
Ability to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints
Able to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result

Salary Range: 144600 - 216800

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
