The Saatchi team works as one-team with our business partner team at Dentsu Tokyo together we lead the global advertising and communications for Toyota's global sports partnership.
The people who join our Los Angeles based team, should have the experience and desire to work on a global assignment. The team works across multiple languages, currencies, cultures, time zones and will be expected to create systems, processes, procedures to streamline our workflow and improve communication. The Global Team will be expected to work with the country teams (including the U.S.), but will not have specific assignment responsibilities for country-specific work.
Job Description
As a Media Planner, you work closely with the Global Media team as well as several international markets developing integrated media campaigns that deliver against key performance metrics.
Success for this position is measured by the following:

- Working comprehension of strategy development and required media math
- Demonstrate strong degree of accuracy and attention to detail

An ideal candidate will be a self-starter with knowledge and energy to develop and execute media plans with 1-2 years of experience in digital and broadcast planning.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate in the media plan development and implementation
- Write, analyze and present media POVs and plans to the agency and to clients
- Carry out buying strategies and negotiate media to maximize investment
- Implements and follows media process and agency process
- Maintain and develop relationships with media vendors regarding existing plans and new opportunities
- Responsible for monitoring campaign performance and working with media partners in making optimizations
- Cross collaboration with other departments such as Account, Strategy, Creative and Analytics
- Support and inspire the work and the people
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications
- Understand media fundamental and basic planning principles and planning process
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of media research tools (IMS, MRI, Nielsen, Comscore, Simmons, etc.) and ability to analyze syndicated research
- Familiarity with digital technologies such as but not limited to DoubleClick Campaign Manager, Prisma, Integral Ad Science, Innovid,etc.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to use good judgment when making business decisions and performing tasks
- Attention-to-detail; demonstrates a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent organization and time management; ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and changes in direction
- Global experience not required but highly valued, including coordinating campaigns across global markets, and experience working with global sports partners
- Automotive or retail media experience is desirable
- B.A/B.S. Degree
