Apple's Recruiting Strategic Enablement team is seeking a web developer to manage updates to a suite of global recruiting properties and sites. You'll be responsible for a high volume of front-end development projects as well as the management and administration of Content Management Systems (CMS). You'll bring an exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for content integrity, and user experience. You'll have the ability to chip in to the development of the CMS as well as fix technical issues.

This role be based onsite in Elk Grove, CA (Sacramento).

Key Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of demonstrable experience developing websites using Drupal including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and databases
  • Proven experience using frameworks like Symfony and Drupal to provide extract-transform-load operations with a variety of data sources
  • Experience designing and implementing systems that scale across multiple locations and respond to peak utilization
  • Experience with distributed version control systems (i.e. Git)
  • Skilled at optimizing SQL queries to enhance site performance
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (ie. Redis etc.)
  • Previous experience building and maintaining applications from concept through day-to-day operations
  • Expert knowledge of HTML and CSS Competency with web UX conventions and standards and experience in responsive design
  • Knowledgable in integration of applications and external authentication systems
  • Critical analysis skills to design, validate, and execute (code & database) applications for various business needs in the global enterprise
  • Able to work with fluid and grid systems (Flexbox, Bootstrap, etc.)
  • Superb communication and presentation skills and ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements, diverse project needs, and short timelines

Description

Lead the ongoing operation of Recruiting websites: content loading, updating, publishing, and QA per requirements and requests from business partners

Build web pages within our CMS based on designs using HTML, CSS, and JS standard methodologies

Manage, upload, and implement multimedia assets for all website environments; assist in pulling and communicating web analytics

Partner with the Recruiting site editorial team to maintain content quality and uphold design standards

Find opportunities to improve the web site and continuously validate that the website provides a great user experience

Solve code issues affecting content display as rendered on Drupal platforms

Document processes for non-technical CMS users to create and test new content, and coding standards (best practices, programming styles, and conventions) for team developers or vendors to adhere to when writing code for a project

Collaborate with internal partners to receive and deploy code to various staging, QA, and UAT environments while maintaining version control over HTML assets

Work with the development team to identify areas of opportunity in the CMS application implementation to deliver new features and enhancements

Help train new team members on our process, tracking system, and CMS

Implement effective processes for content development and quality assurance including documentation of existing processes and areas of improvement

Education & Experience

BS Computer Science or equivalent
