$200k - $240k plus 30% bonus $120k in stock and RSUs
Looking for a CIO type with to oversee the IT technology of an 11 year start up company. Right now the technology is Microsoft Application Suite, AZURE, 365, Power B,I Data Warehouse, LINUX, Networking, Automation and DevOps. There are currently 3 people in IT and going to build up quickly. You will be a hands on manager to lead, strategize, grow and develop the infrastructure, help desk, applications, security. Looking for a fast tracker that has budget management skills.
From an internal perspective, responsibilities include world-wide network infrastructure, data structure, data management (cloud based and on-prem), cybersecurity-, corporate application needs/roadmap, helpdesk functions, and managing the on-tool software needs of our customer facing hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Actively develop, communicate, and implement the information technology strategic vision, and all aspects of technological development, growth, and maintenance that incorporates the voice of the customer
- Identify emerging technologies, analyze, assimilate and integrate within the organization to enable achievement of strategic objectives.
- Oversee operations that safeguard systems and data through proper access controls, internal permissions, monitoring of accesses and processes, and response.
- Ensure IT compliance or enablement with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Interact and lead discussions with external audit.
- Lead an operation by example, training, and direction, that delivers outstanding, unfailing customer service to external and internal customers.
- Ensure that operational processes including application support and development, system administration, helpdesk, security, telecommunications, and audio-visual are run efficiently, delivering reliable and timely customer service.
- Directs the preparation, review, and consolidation of IT business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Formulates IT policies, procedures, and performance management processes and measures.
- Ensure organizational compliance with respective global, federal, state, and local requirements by staying informed, studying existing and new legislation, anticipating potential legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, completing necessary reporting, advising management on needed actions, and leading change to ensure compliance.
- Ensures processes and systems are developed and maintained to provide the required information for Berkeley Lights decision makers and users.
- Leads the development, communication, and execution of all applicable policies as they relate to information systems and compliance standards.
- Implement technology to ensure that the organization's processes, systems, and devices are state of the art.

- Experience with Microsoft application suite and services including Azure, Dynamics 365, Power BI, data warehouse and business intelligence applications.
- Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate communications, objectives, and tasks between internal and external resources.
- Highly proficient in contract negotiations, contract maintenance, and vendor management.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or an equivalent business degree.
- External audit or consulting experience preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in technology with a minimum of 5 years leading multiple teams.
