Overview:

Fidelity National Title in the beautiful coastal town of Eureka, California has an opportunity for an experienced Escrow Officer. Duties:

Manage the complete escrow transaction through research, expert knowledge, and consultation with parties involved
Direct and perform a variety of duties involving the preparation and closing of an escrow transaction
Accurately complete and calculate all settlement costs associated with escrow transactions
Transmit disbursements of any monies held in escrow relating to repairs, assessments, taxes, and other purposes.
Create escrow instructions and agreements according to Company policy as supported by state and federal regulations
Controls process of necessary legal papers and written escrow agreements in accordance with contract
Generate, establish, and maintain business relationships, new customer business and current customer base; perform public relations functions in accordance with the sales and marketing programs
Manage a profitable escrow desk
Train, assign, and review work of lower level employees involved in escrow work

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (or Equivalent)
  • 3 Years Escrow Experience
  • Notary Republic, State of California (a plus, but not required)
Experience:
  • Experienced Escrow Officer required
  • Strong customer service skills, detail oriented, excellent communication, and organizational skills
  • Understands escrow/closing standards, title commitments and requirements, real estate regulations and guidelines, proration, per diems, lender documents, real estate documents, document preparation, etc.
  • Team player, self-starter, committed, dedicated, respectful and hard working
  • Candidate must possess the ability to work independently
  • Candidate must be comfortable meeting with clients and prospects in varied settings
Additional Information:

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Attend business networking events to initiate new business
Provide general escrow customer service
Coordinate with other branch Escrow Officers for desk coverage and back up
Perform other title and escrow tasks to sustain a profitable branch
