Job Title: Clerk I

Hours: M-F 6:30 AM to 11 AM with possibility of extending to an 8 hour per day shift after the first few weeks

Location: Fountain Valley, CA 92708

Description:

  • The Tax Resolution Specialist is responsible for the resolution of jurisdictional tax fund payments made on behalf of our clients to Federal (IRS), SSA, State and Local agencies.
  • This may include the preparation and compilation of paper checks and coupons, sending and balancing of payment and coupon electronic files, workflow adjustment for payment removal or additions and workflow applications for Penalty and Interest payment generation.
  • Ability to follow specific requirements and work under strict daily timeframe deadlines a must.

Essential Duties:

  • Daily assistance in the preparation and compilation of paper checks and coupons, sending and balancing of payment and coupon electronic files.
  • Assist with inquiries and amendments, payment processing
  • Performs related clerical work such as word processing
  • May utilize company intranet, paging, or other computer-based system
  • Additional duties include filing, sorting, mail distribution, and completing special projects
  • May set up and maintain files
  • Read and comprehend information in electronic (computer) or paper form (written / printed).
  • On an as-needed basis, assist with using commercial paper cutter to size coupons, move file boxes, copying, filing and document storage processing.
  • Maintain counts and stats for metrics purposes

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Required 1-2 years clerical experience
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • 1-2 years' experience with MS Office products
  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Attention to detail required
