This position will play a key role in building and supporting a cross-platform frontend built in React Native.

● Build intuitive features to improve the experience for web and mobile users

● Work to continuously improve the codebase by working on foundational issues and helping to rearchitect, as necessary

● Collaborate with other engineering teams, designers, and product managers to build new features thoughtfully

● Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship

● Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits

● Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code

● Analyze and resolve technical and application problems

● Be passionate about solving hard technical problems at scale and have an ability to collaborate with many teams and stakeholders to move the big rocks forward.

What you bring to the role

● BS (or higher) in Computer Science or related technical field involving software development (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience.

● 6+ years of professional software development experience related to frontend web development.

● Experience building and maintaining React Native phone and tablet applications with large user bases.

● Experience creating and deploying to Apple's App Store and Google's Play Store, iOS and Android mobile applications.

● Experience working with large code bases with significant complexity.

● Expert level knowledge of Typescript and Modern Javascript.

● Experience with web and mobile tools such as Node, Yarn, Webpack Babel, Metro, Xcode, and Gradle

● Knowledge and practice working with React Native & React Native Web Platform

● Experience with libraries such as React Navigation, UI Kitten, Redux, Redux-Persist, and Storybook is a plus

● Experience developing, testing using Jest, shipping, and supporting a product for tens of thousands of users

● Proven success as a technical team leader

● Must excel at working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.

● Responsible and committed person able to work on a Pacific Standard Time.
