Job description

The Business Development Manager will identify and develop opportunities to strengthen and expand Company's client base, driving revenue by identifying prospects with which Company can forge a successful, long-term partnership. Because this role represents the Company brand to lead sources and prospective clients, the BDM must fully understand Company's expertise and value, and be able to identify those prospects that represent ideal partners.

The BDM will present Company's knowledge and offerings and the value those offerings represent to our clients. The BDM will develop business by marketing through Company's channels including client referrals, business associates, and other lead sources to identify potential client partners.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prospect: Consistently work on building a pipeline of target prospects through traditional means of prospecting (cold calling, email, phone, LinkedIn) as well as building and leveraging a diverse group of ecosystem partners to provide referrals and business development opportunities.
  • Consultative Selling: Establish a trusted advisor relationship in order to determine the prospect's needs, sell value, create engagement, alignment, desire, and acceptance of the Company's solutions
  • Sell our services to C-level executives and business owners at prospective businesses by quantifying the company's benefits and value proposition
  • Write proposals and present approved proposals to prospective clients
  • Managing multiple opportunities through sequential stages of the sales process: initial prospect meeting, request for proposal data gathering, benefits comparison, technology demonstration, proposal presentation, and close
  • Achieve quota targets by meeting sales metrics that drive business goals.
  • Become a resource through self-guided continuing education on best practices in the areas of HR, Risk and Safety, Payroll, Recruiting, and Workers' Compensation.
  • Complete all administrative tasks and duties in a timely manner


Experience:


  • Minimum 3 years' experience in consultative sales
  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience required
  • Previous experience with significant prospecting, sourcing most of their own sales, utilizing best practices in prospecting, and establishing and leveraging a network of partners and referrals
  • Human Capital Management industry experience a plus
  • Prior experience selling in one of the following industries is a plus: SaaS, HRO, BPO, or PEO


Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of both state and federal employment laws
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with valid automobile insurance meeting Company's criteria.
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish
  • Ability to use technology and common software and web applications, including MS Office and Salesforce.com
