Summary of position:

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for business and systems analysis functions supporting our E-commerce, Product Information System (PIM), ERP, POS systems and other custom applications developed in-house. Apply proven analytical, communication and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT investments, turning functional business requirements into effective design solutions. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements.

Project Management and Facilitation

  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies.
  • Document functional business requirement and interpret into system designs.
  • As applicable, ensure upkeep of technical documentation such as process and data flows, data dictionary, training materials and other relevant documents.
  • Conduct research into on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including system, integration, and customer acceptance, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
  • Make contributions in the development of Test Plans and Test Scripts, and also perform test execution as required.

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Ability to a lead cross functional teams through multiple deliverables and complex business cases
  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
  • Experience in Business Process Improvements. Familiar with Business Application systems and terminology.
  • Ability to function in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to listen to customers and stakeholders needs and requirements and effectively translate them into technical as well as functional requirements

Education/Experience:

Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to possession of a bachelor's degree that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described, with coursework in accounting, computer science, management information systems or related fields.

Language Ability:

Must have English as primary language of business. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, data documentation, and procedure manuals. Must possess the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of emerging technologies (cloud computing, mobile computing) In-depth knowledge of Microsoft desktop applications, solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Data Modeling, and databases. Strong knowledge and familiarity with at least one major E-commerce system (Shopify, Magento, Intershop, Volusion) and the general processes around an E-commerce business. Additional software skills in apparel technologies (PLM, CRM, and etc.) are a plus.
