Bilingual Human Resources Assistant Role:
The Bilingual Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for coordinating all regional human resources activities including recruitment, on boarding, training, payroll processing, employee relations, safety and terminations
The Bilingual Human Resources Assistant will provide human resources support and guidance to the Regional Director
Coordinate recruitment efforts including creating job postings, screening candidates, conducting reference checks and extending job offers
Responsible for making sure I-9' s and E-verify are processed and completed in the appropriate time, as well as maintenance of these personnel records
Manage new hires set up and access to systems
Conduct new hire orientation, providing information about company and benefits, procedures and policies, as well as ensure new hires complete the online training as necessary
Responsible for reviewing timecards for accuracy and compliance with FLSA regulations, and process payroll adjustments
Prepare payroll analysis reports for management
Make sure policies and procedures are being followed and ensure consistency company wide
Identify potential HR liability and personnel security risk, as well as conduct workplace investigations and notify management as necessary
Responsible for completing exit interviews, prepare employee separation papers, request termination/resignation checks per state requirements, and notify corporate office for timely processing
Responsible for responding to unemployment claims
Identify and report potential workplace risk management issues and ensure safety procedures as followed, and prepare incident reports of accidents and injuries and report them to Corporate HR
Bilingual Human Resources Assistant Background Profile:
The Bilingual Human Resources Assistant will have and Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent certification in HR - Work experience is more important than the degree
The Bilingual Human Resources Assistant will have 1-2 years or more of human resources, personnel administration experience
Ability to speak both English and Spanish in an engaging and professional manner
Ability to read and interpret documents such as job descriptions, employee communications and routine reports
Knowledge of state and federal laws, codes and regulations concerning human resources administration, such as labor laws, FLSA, EEOC, ADA, Workers Comp, FML
Experience with MS Office Suite and software programs used for payroll and human resources (HRIS)
Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Ability to read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures
Highly motivated and professional individual
