We are seeking a Laboratory Analyst to become part of a solid and successful team already in place. This position will work in our organics department as well as collaboratively with other departments within the laboratory. The Laboratory Analyst will be responsible
for the sample preparation and analysis in our PCB laboratory, which will operate along side of the drug residue analysis laboratory. The ideal candidate must be able to work well within a team-focused environment, make sustained contributions, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time exempt, fully benefited position with salary dependent on experience and level of education.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Assist with analytical method development and validation
* Sample preparation and analysis
* Data analysis and reporting
* Laboratory prep and maintenance
* Quality Control/ ensure compliance with applicable standards
* Maintaining compliance with Health and Safety guidelines
* Assist with laboratory purchasing
* Assist with equipment maintenance
Qualifications
* Bachelors in Science in related field
* 1+ years lab experience in a NELAC or ISO 17025 certified laboratory, strongly preferred
* Experience in environmental analysis using GC-MS and/or GC-ECD
* Familiarity with analyses performed to support compliance with OSHA worker safety regulations.
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience with LIMS integration
