Job description

You will manage project tasks, budgets, staff workload, and schedules while also resolving boundaries, conducting QC on field data, and mentoring junior staff.

This role is open to remote work for an individual living in California due to the Ca. Professional licensed Surveyor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


» Communicate project instructions clearly to both field and office staff.

» Complete projects on time, within budget and within quality parameters specified by Survey Manager or Supervisor, meeting client expectations.

» Assist and engage in proposal development and client presentations.

» Perform boundary resolution and field inspections.

» Prepare estimates, proposals and participates in interviews.

» Responsible charge for ALTA surveys, Record of Surveys, corner records, maps, Parcel Maps, Right of way resolution exhibits, Plats and Legal descriptions

» Ensure that field equipment is available and well supported.

» Participate in training activities and actively seek opportunities to contribute to the achievement of Mark Thomas strategic goals.

Qualifications:

» BS in Survey or AA with a survey emphasis preferred.

» 4 - 6+ years' relevant experience.

» Project Management experience preferred.

» Licensed surveyor in the State of California preferred; LSIT with qualification to sit for the LS required.

» Knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center and other relevant software; working knowledge if MicroStation preferred.

» Ability to multi- task and set priorities effectively.

» Demonstrate effective project management skills through prior experience.

» Demonstrate competent verbal and written communication skills.

» Ability to work & collaborate in a team environment.

» Must have a positive attitude and willingness to find solutions.
