As an industry leader and one of the largest sanitary process equipment distributors in North America for the dairy, food, beverage, and bio-pharmaceutical industries, we have eleven sales and engineering offices strategically located throughout the United States and a nationwide network of more than 150 seasoned sanitary process professionals.
We are currently looking for an experienced ERP/IT Manager. The successful candidate will support the existing Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 ERP system and oversee IT functions from one of our locations in Huntington Beach, CA, St. Louis, MO, Algona, WA or Ridgefield, WA. This position will also lead the analysis and implementation of moving from the current ERP system to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the ERP system and IT functions
- Troubleshoot performance issues and outages with systems
- Coordinate with related team/department and external partners to ensure systems and hardware are functioning efficiently
- Consistently improve the system to make it effective for end users and management
- Ensure a stable, safe, and up-to-date system
- Ensure effective use of resources, communicate organizational priorities, and drive timely execution of projects
- Develop business strategies and supervise critical path activities to troubleshoot or escalate problems as needed
- Test, troubleshoot, and adjust information systems to operate effectively
- Oversee daily operations of network and server infrastructure
- Manage, train, communicate, and monitor ERP and IT staff
- Supervise, implement, and maintain all company's computing systems, related applications, hardware, and software used within the company
- Coordinate technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Recommend and purchase new and replacement hardware and software as necessary
- Define project scope and functional requirements for new ERP system
- Prepare and document business and IT requirements for new ERP system accurately
- Develop and manage detailed project plans for new ERP system implementation including schedules, resources, and dependencies, and take timely corrective action to address issues in relations to those plans notifying those concerned as appropriate
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners, including Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Engineering, and Marketing to identify, explain, and communicate their project involvement, project goals and expectations
- Assign tasks and activities to team members, and monitor such tasks to completion
- Provide regular updates to the Controller to always ensure proper communication and information exchange in relation to project management matters and department related issues
- Deliver a successful ERP Implementation (deliver on time, within budget, and meet user and business requirements) while working in coordination with external ERP and IT partners
- Develop and manage up-to-date timelines inclusive of the critical milestones in completion of multiple projects with competing deadlines and multiple stakeholders
- Oversee the annual IT budget and ensure cost effectiveness
- Evaluate technology risks to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures
- Remain up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices
- Align IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals
- Ensure that IT activities are within the limits of applicable laws, codes, and regulations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and D365 is required
- Expert knowledge of ERP project management and IT functions
- Ability to supervise, support, and motivate team members for high performance
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, leadership, and management skills
- Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills, while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and identify problems quickly with strong solving problem skills
- Ability to deliver results on target deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows software, including server, office, and exchange
- Experience with databases and database storage systems
- Experience coordinating installations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Knowledgeable in computer hardware, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security
- Strong knowledge of the industry's best practices and technical management
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Systems, Computer Science, or similar field is required
