Conexus Recruiting has been engaged to search for an Assistant Controller for a well-established Public Technology company located in the Irvine, CA working on a Hybrid Basis.

Job - The Assistant Controller will have a department of accounting professionals to manage and continue to expand. This person will lead the General Accounting processes including Month-end close, analysis and reporting of financial data, as well as implementing best practices and working along side the VP, Controller.

The role is a hybrid role, working in the office a couple days a week.

You will report to the VP, Controller.

Compensation/Benefits - Salary range starts at $145,000/year and increases with qualifications up to $180,000/year. On top of base salary, our client's full compensation package includes bonus and RSU's.

ASSISTANT CONTROLLER DUTIES

• Oversee key processes surrounding General Accounting areas such as General Ledger, Month End Close, and Financial Reporting
• Perform variance analysis as well as prepare and review GL account reconciliations
• Prepare financial reports and analysis on the operating results of the business units.
• Identify and implement opportunities to promote streamlined processes, financial systems, operational efficiencies and enhanced internal controls.
• Work closely with Finance team on actual and forecast analysis.
• Develop solid relationships with cross functional business areas.
• Support the audit preparation assisting in the planning, coordination, and reviews.
• Support the accounting team in ensuring consistent implementation of corporate accounting principles and procedures in full compliance with GAAP as well as investor reporting requirements.
• Ensure the internal and external accounting and financial reporting is delivered in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and applicable guidance.
• Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and to assist with various ad hoc projects as needed.
• Complete ad hoc analysis and projects.

ASSISTANT CONTROLLER QUALIFICATIONS

Required

· Accounting Degree and at least seven (7) years in progressive roles in private industry

· At least three (3) years of managerial/supervisory experience

· Public Accounting experience at a top tier Accounting firm

Preferred (but not required)

· CPA

· Technology Industry background
