Job description

If you have a passion for mid level Data Cloud Engineering, looking for long-term career growth & opportunity, this may be the position for you.

You will work with a client services team as a part of our offering with our data platformthe ability to support and influence product roadmap also (data side)._We do not want a data scientist who prepares or engineers data._

The ideal candidate will be working on or in charge of client projects to use cloud-based data tools to create automated data pipelines into our platform or for a client-specific deliverable or purpose.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Design and construct large relational databases
* Integrate new systems with existing in-house structure
* Perform security assessment of potential risks
* Refine system performance and functionality
* Provide architecture guidance and support to technical leads
* Research new technologies and develop proofs of concept

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Accomplished AWS Cloud and Amazon products

* Well versed with S3 + Athena
* Solid EMR (Hadoop)/Spark/Hiveexperiences
* Prior DocumentDB (MongoDB) work experiences
* Skilled AWS Relational DB
* Elastic Search or AWS equivalent
* Familiarly with Kinesis
* Understanding of QuickSight amazon visual tool

* Robust AWS skills required
* High level work experience with ETL, SQL, T-SQL or a STRUCTURED QUERY LANGUAGE
* KNOWLEDGEABLE WITH SCALA, Python, SPARK-SQL, APACHE ZEPPELIN
* Familiar with .ORC/Parquet file formats for efficient processing.
* Linux experience
* JSON
* API/Microservices/REST

NICE TO HAVE:

* Worked with clinical data

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering or equivalent experience.

REMOTEworking as long as you are located in Southern California, USA, and have reliable internet.
