PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Director, Tax Accounting, International, is responsible for the planning, organization and compliance of US International Tax compliance, ASC 740 analysis for financial reporting for international operations including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Asia Pacific, and mentoring of staff in all areas of tax and accounting applications. Reporting to the VP of Tax, you will meaningfully contribute to the tax team to support the growth and expansion of RGP globally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
- Manage all aspects of US International and Asia/Pacific income tax compliance related to domestic operations. This includes the maintenance of the compliance tax calendar, determination of nexus and related filing requirements, management of tax return preparation and detailed review of all US International tax returns
- Works collaboratively with other business functions including finance and accounting to support objectives in a tax efficient manner
- Participate and assist with ASC 740 calculations and related issues for financial statement reporting, including necessary financial statement disclosures related to the review of the international components of the company's ASC 740 calculations, including the foreign deferred tax accounts, accrued foreign income tax, payable/receivable reconciliations, and maintenance of applicable foreign income tax rates
- Manage directly outside tax consultants and other third-party relationships
- Support and monitor legislative activities and the impact on the company
- Assist with the establishment, liquidation or merger or corporate entities, including maintaining the legal entity organizational structure and related supporting documentations.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the policies and procedures related to the tax department and compliance with SOX requirements
- Develop and maintain contemporaneous global transfer pricing documentations and inter-company agreements
- Assist accounting with international tax related financial statement issues, including the review of inter-company calculations and journal entries
- Mentor, train and teach tax and accounting teammates skills to enhance their ability to progress and increase abilities to add value to the Company
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 8+ years of experience that includes Big Four firm, including exposure to the U.S. and foreign tax strategy and implementation methods
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited university majoring tax and/or accounting
- Strong accounting skills- CPA or MS in taxation preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail and an eye for accuracy
- Thorough understanding of Federal, State and Local level tax regulations
- Working knowledge of ONESOURCE Tax Provision & ONESOURCE Tax Preparation preferred
