Our International Medical Device client is looking for a talented energetic permanent technical ERP Business Analyst. Reporting to the IT Applications Manager, the successful ERP Business System Analyst will work closely with, and collaborate with the internal technology team members, the functional business leaders in organizational units and liaise with 3 rd party vendors to identify and help deploy a new ERP with all its processes and ensure problem resolution and project objectives are met.
This position supports the ERP system as well as custom applications and reporting systems. The successful candidate will contribute their broad experience and high level of expertise in business processes and understanding of system functionality and is responsible for facilitating collaborative design of technology solutions for core, critical applications to address business needs. On project assignments of high risk and complexity, this position leads and directs activities such as requirement definition, research, analysis, testing, training, and documentation. You would provide technical expertise and team leadership on major, complex initiatives, specifically the ERP implementation project and will work closely with business owners across all company departments in the development of the ERP project roadmap and upgrade strategies. You will routinely interface with and give direction to external vendor partners and must be able to communicate issues and solutions effectively and clearly.
Where You're Located Irvine, CA (in office is required initially but flex part time remote will be granted after 90 day probationary period)
SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES NEEDED:
- 7-10+ years of progressive Business Systems Analyst experience in a medical device manufacturing environment with project leadership responsibilities.
- Experience supporting critical operations and management in a build to stock, complex manufacturing and supply chain environment with multiple business units/locations globally.
- Experience providing business analyst support for an ERP system implementation, engineering tools and strong financial experience.
- ERP experience with IFS is preferred.
- Experience developing requirements, writing use cases, and developing test plans.
- Extensive experience interacting with customers, managing projects/deadlines while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Experience working with a traditional software development lifecycle model.
- Proven skills and experience in change management and governance.
- Solid communication skills with the ability to clearly and positively communicate with individuals and groups, from technical teams to executive level management both verbally and in written form.
- Must work well with ambiguity, be a problem solver and be able to work in an environment where processes are still being developed.
- Must be an action oriented, self-sufficient and a capable leader that is effective in a team-oriented environment where collaboration among the operating units is critical to the success of the company.
- Ability to act independently as well as work collaboratively to prioritize, set and meet goals.
- B.Sc. in Information Management Systems or similar technical foundation (or a combination of equivalent education and experience).
- PMP certified or appropriate technical project management certifications preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary support of the ERP system/database - ERP administration, technical knowledge of structure, ERP Security, backups, recovery, system workflows.
- Estimate, plan, schedule, organize, coordinate, and execute activities for the ERP implementation project
- Provide configuration management standards, lead troubleshooting activities, provide testing and quality assurance for key systems.
- Develop documentation that describes the business problem working with key stakeholders and be able to translate those requirements into the requirements for the implementation partner to effectively translate and deliver into ERP services. This includes gathering requirements, writing use cases, and directing implementation partners in the execution of enhancements.
- Provide the primary leadership for business process design/re-design activities that will be implemented including maintaining and establishing new business relationships, analyzing best practices in conjunction with internal/external subject matter experts, and making recommendations for business process and operational procedures.
- Provide the business analysis and requirements that must be satisfied when implementing technology solutions for the business. Requirement definition may include researching and analyzing data to define business functions, gain process knowledge, and understand/define systems requirements.
- Manage project schedules and develop clear project management KPI's that drive the execution of critical deliverables on time.
- Develop training plans, coordinate system testing cycle, issue tracking and resolution, which at times, may require work during non-business hours/weekends.
- Develop queries, reports to assist in analysis and decision making as assigned.
