We are looking for a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) who has the right mix of technical prowess and business savvy and can confidently find, select, resource and win new business opportunities.

This person should be a self-starter who can prioritize their activities to maximize Design Wins and Sales Revenue around the electronic component products and services they support. This person should be conscious of the value of the opportunities they are driving and provide appropriate levels of support and resources with a effort to maximize sales revenue and design wins.

The ideal candidate will be able to quickly respond and support our salespeople with their customer's technical issues while also finding and driving new opportunities on their own. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly learn the company's sales support systems to confidently search for new leads to pursue with or without the responsible account manager.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Spending a majority of your time communicating with customers to influence component selection
  • Identifying solutions and resolutions to customer design needs and issues
  • Monitoring your metrics throughout the quarter and taking corrective action as necessary
  • Presenting technical seminars and workshops around your supplier lines
  • Providing frequent updates to field sales and being a motivating force around your supplier lines
  • Assisting with Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
  • Meeting with suppliers to review recent customer design activity and identify compelling solutions to promote with those customers

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years experience in embedded designing or programming of electronic products
  • Must be proficient in FPGA Design
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study
  • Experience with micro-controller units (MCU's)
  • A strong ability to multi-task and can pursue best outcomes when confronted with ambiguity
  • A team player who has a strong desire to drive and achieve results
  • A technologist who enjoys working with people and coordinating activities that drive business results
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be creative and resourceful as necessary to secure customer meetings
  • Quick learner with respect to the tools and resources provided and supplier's product portfolios
  • Lives in the Phoenix, AZ or Orange County, CA areas.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:
$146,880.00 - $179,520.00

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
