Job description
BioDot, an ATS Automation Company, is uniquely focused on the specialized requirements of Rapid Test / BioSensor / BioChip and Clinical Laboratory development and manufacturing environments. BioDot has several standard product lines and custom automated systems to meet the needs of these markets.
The ideal candidate will support the financial reporting and budgeting process for the division. This position requires a strong analytical background and requires extra hours during busy season. We are looking for an associate who push boundaries and drive solutions for the future.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support all finance and accounting activities including financial record keeping and reporting
· Complete month end, quarter end, and year end activities
· Support planning, organizing financial reporting, accounting, and general financial affairs of the division
· Support preparing divisional results and explain them accurately with variances explained, risk identified, and mitigation plans
· Assist preparing budget, forecast and long-term plans with business risks identified
· Assist implementing best practice to streamline/improve both financial reporting accuracy/timing as well as operational performance
· Prepare audit documents on a quarterly basis, ensuring that all accounts are reconciled
· Support implementing ERP system
· Prepare projects' actual status and communicate any potential risk to projects to Management team
· Support Project Managers with forecast preparation, analysis and reporting
· Handle special tasks and projects as required
· Experience with EPICOR and JDE helpful but not required
Education and Experience:
· 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
· 2 to 5 years of experience in a financial analyst role
· Strong analytical, financial, and accounting skills as well as an ability to significantly contribute to division management
· Prior experience with an ERP system is a plus
· Strong Excel skill including PivotTable, Lookup, and If Statements
· Demonstrated ability to be well organized, learn new tasks quickly, define process improvements, and strive for success
· Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team in an intentional, focused, respectful, and highly engaged manner
· Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
