Product Marketing Manager


Product Marketing Manager work with the sales, sales engineering, and marketing teams to come up with unique strategies to market their products and services including product planning and product marketing to ensure brand messaging is effectively and consistently communicated in a positive way. This includes managing the products throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, analyzing and understanding the competitive landscape, and supporting the sales and marketing departments.



General Accountabilities

•Sets the strategy for promoting products and services to prospects and clients.

•Collaborates with Marketing to ensure products are marketed according to the agreed strategy.

•Proactively develops new market ideas.

•Records and maintains client preferences for future reference.

•Relays market feedback to the executive team.

•Develops product strategy, roadmap, go to market launch plans, and market requirement documents.

•Collaborates with Engineering and Sales Engineering to provide support on strategic direction for systems configurations and quotations.

•Coordinates with the Sales VP and Regional Sales Managers in determining product viability and pricing models as compared to the competition.

•Understands competitor products in the market and analyze differentiators.

•Coordinates with key dealers to better understand changes in the market for existing products.

•Develops solid understanding of the competition landscape and assists marketing in providing product- oriented sales tools.

•Works with external third parties to assess partnerships and product integrations.

•Collaborates with the Director of Marketing on product messaging, positioning, and content development (white papers, case studies, and technical documents).

•Acts as a Product Development Advocate and interfaces with the overseas product development team to ensure North American product needs are fulfilled.

•Develop training content and delivers training presentations to internal and external audiences, in collaboration with the relevant departments.



Job Qualifications


•Bachelor's degree

•Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product/Marketing Associate

•Demonstrated success in defining and launching excellent products

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•Excellent teamwork skills

•Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

•Provide examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
