Essential Functions:

  • To research workflows and approaches to imaging in pathology as applied to surgical interventions for various cancers.
  • Assists with new product development projects to ensure compliance, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Utilizes understanding of imaging in pathology to support finished product that meets project objectives of accurately identifying cancerous tissue in a more rapid way than the current methods used today.
  • Utilizes critical thinking, design of experiment (DOE), and statistical tools to assist in identification and resolution of root causes of complex problems. Recommends solutions to identified issues.
  • Researches information required for bringing the product to market.
  • Collaborates with Product Managers to develop product specifications and set project scope, requirements, and timelines.
  • Provides input for product correspondence.
  • Writes reports and presents data to stakeholders.
  • Assists with development and execution of methods of testing integrity and reliability of formulations.
  • Conducts hands-on testing and analyzes collected data.
  • Performs technical writing as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require, at the direction of management.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human biology, chemistry, or related field, with some post-graduate education or at least (2) years of experience in medical imaging or a pathology lab.
  • Demonstrates and maintains a strong hands-on experience and knowledge of pathology imaging.
  • Proficient knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proficient knowledge of basic functionality of medical device.
  • Must possess effective oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner.
