The Process Engineering Manager will be responsible for the daily management of production systems to foster a manufacturing excellence culture for our high-volume Consumables and Automated Packaging operations in Lodi, California.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Establishes, owns, monitors, and improves Manufacturing KPIs - Safety, Quality, Overall Equipment Efficiency, Productivity, Budget compliance, and Morale (Mean Time Before Failure)
- Develops and adapts Process Engineering department objectives, goals, strategies, innovation pipelines, and annual masterplan with the site priorities following PDCA or CAPD principles
- Owns and develops implementation roadmaps for Autonomous Maintenance, Focused Improvement, and Initiative Management (Validation) work processes
- Manages Associates hiring process, performance management, professional development, compensation management, and organization design
- Provides technical guidance and coaches Professional Associates on problem-solving methodologies using continuous improvement tools - 5S, RCAs, WPI, Standard Works, Kaizens, VSMs, and Visual Management
- Leads daily, weekly, and monthly management meetings to deliver status reports for ongoing performance improvement initiatives
- Manages Multiple projects, programs, and works cross-functionally with the Manufacturing, Maintenance Engineering, Quality Engineering, Automation Engineering, and Technical Operations team
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor's in Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education required to perform at this level
- A minimum of 5+ years overall related experience within medical device or a regulated industry or a Fortune 100 company
- Proficient with manufacturing software - Minitab, Quality Window, Allen Bradley Factory-Talk, and Microsoft Applications - MS-Visio, MS-Power BI, MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint
- Ability to think critically to solve complex business problems and make data-based decision in a fast-paced business environment
- TPM, TQS, Quality Management System (FDA & ISO), and Lean Manufacturing
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Advance degree, preferably an MBA with professional background in a continuous manufacturing environment
- Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt or PMP
- Knowledge and experience in automated packaging operations
